The e-palette could deliver freshly baked pizzas in the spot

Autonomous vehicles are not only confined to Tesla and Google, for here comes a new challenger: Pizza Hut. Or rather, the collaboration between Pizza Hut and Toyota. Said partnership can be easily understood once you see the fruits of this alliance: Pizza Hut and Toyota are working together in order to create not an autonomous car, bur rather an autonomous pizza delivery van. Its presentation at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has been an astounding success. The e-palette is a 100% electric vehicle, and it could be configured not only for pizza delivery, but it can also act like a food truck or even double as a mobile convenience store.

The funniest thing about this invention is that it has been recently predicted by the famous science fiction TV series Black Mirror, making a stellar apparition in one of its 4th season chapters where an insurance agent investigates an accident created by one of these vehicles. Scary science fiction tales aside, if we focus on the present timeline the truth is that we would love to see one of these vehicles roaming in our neighborhood. We’re starting to get hungry, you know?
